We had a great trip! Mostly we did a lot of lounging, mainly due to the fact that we ate a huge seafood meal our first night & got sick from it. In my wise nurse opinion I think it was salmonella. There was lots of N/V/D - but I was careful to make sure we drank a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration. At one point my husband said, "Should we go to the hospital?" I tried not to be offended that he didn't trust my medical care (he never does). I assured him that there was nothing they were going to do but stick an IV of NS or D5W in us and take stool & blood samples to determine what it was & that there would be a lot of doing nothing. I told him as long as he can keep fluids in his tummy just keep drinking gatorade!
All in all we survived. We actually lost weight while we were away. Which I think is pretty much unheard of!! I'll take it though since I haven't been hitting the gym as much as I've been hitting the books.
So, here I am. Back on the computer & back to studying. Oh, I forgot to share good news...My last night at Kaplan was a review of the readiness test that we took at the end. I scored a 69% (lower then my diagnostic test, go figure??) and according to Kaplan I have a 98.3% chance of passing the NCLEX on my first try. Those are some pretty good odds!! My biggest topics to tackle is the darn endocrine system - I can't remember anything....

well i am so glad to hear you all survived that! I love seafood, but it's always one of those "danger" foods at a new place!
And congrats on that predictor, good for you!
